![]() TM2 Stadium, Valley, and Canyon can be thought of as singular environments in this case. You do have to learn how to play in each environment separately, as some are very nuanced, (I say this from memory, I haven't played United in a year or two). The gameplay here is quite varied, with several of the environments playing radically different from each other - Snow has breakneck turns and cars with great grip, Island tracks have impossible speed, etc. However, online play is very quiet from what I can tell, as many have moved onto The Trackmania 2 titles. You get the United tracks, which have race, puzzle, stunt, and platform tracks for 7 different environments, the Nations tracks, which if I remember correctly is the full set of tracks from the TM Nations release, and you also get the Star tracks, which is another set of races for the 7 environments. TM United has the most variety for what you pay for. I'm going to refer to the TM2 games collectively for the purpose of comparison, because they all came out roughly around the same time. IMO, this will be one of the major deciding factors. ![]() The biggest thing I can think of, when deciding on which trackmania to purchase, is if you intend to play online or not.
